Sunridge opened for business in 1998 as a 19-hole course designed by Bill Wellman. A distinctive course built on the Eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, Sunridge boasts a distinctive and challenging layout featuring significant elevation changes and over 4 miles of shoreline on 12 lakes.
In 2018, the course was purchased by a group with a new vision and Sunridge Golf and Recreations was born. For the past year, the Sunridge team has been working hard to restore the quality of the greens and fairways, and to update the clubhouse and pro shop to bring the course back to its former beauty. Simultaneously, the team has been developing various other recreation facilities to bring to our members, the public, and Reno-Tahoe tourists. These include a 3,000 sqft event tent to hold meetings, corporate retreats, and weddings; an Olympic-size archery range with lessons, leagues, and tournaments; and a stock of bounce houses for on-site family events and parties.
